CoreData NSFetchRequest returns results but section number of objects returns 0?

In addition to what @Levi suggested, you should not access the instance variable fetchedResultsController directly in numberOfRowsInSection (or in other table view data source methods). Always use the property accessor self. FetchedResultsController .

Before the return _fetchedResultsController; line in your method, tell the NSFerchedResultsController to execute the request.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
