Could there be a way for Mahalo to filter Twitter questions that don't contain a question mark to prevent them getting in the Answers queue?

I don't think ignoring all twitter questions without question marks is such a good idea, because not everyone ends their legitimate question with a question mark. And if I see a "question" that is just a response, I report it.

If you see these types of replies from Answers just hit the report key. We have folks scanning through and removing them all the time. The?

Is a decent suggestion, but I'm not sure how well it will work. We'll take a look at it.

The way Twitter works is that when users put @answers in their twitter post it will appear on Mahalo. Whether they use a question mark or not doesn't really matter. The only "problem" is that when users get answers they like to reply to the @answers account, from my observations 80% of the time it's a "thank you" generally us moderators vanish these as soon as we see them, naturally we can't get them the minute they happen, but if you ignore them, I can assure you they will eventually go away.(Also by using the "Report" feature it will help us get them much faster).

This is just stupid waiting for the site to load before and after every question, whats the problem guys this site should fly whenever a page is clicked.

I think that the best way to monitor it would be to have the questions checked by Mahalo Answers overseers. That way questions with a forgotten question mark would still come through, and you couldn't trick it by simply adding a question mark. There isn't an enormous amount of twitter questions coming through each day, so this shouldn't be too hard.

Here is the php code to do so. (Note: Some of the items are taken out of this post because this page doesn't like them. Since they are code.0)// if pos is anything except for 0 then post it, otherwise do nothing.

{ //instructions to post the question }?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
