Crash course on recordable CD's anyone? I can burn DVDs or photos on a CD but can't burn music CD. Why?

I can burn DVDs or photos on a CD but can't burn music CD. Why? Everything works until the end when I get rude messages such as You Better Format or Wrong Speed or Too Slow or Too Fast or Too Stupid... Has to have something to do with the blank CD's I'm using.

I can successfully burn movies and photos on DVD discs (3 different programs), but CD's won't work either with Media Player or Real Player... Tired of buying wrong blanks. If you're looking for a brand....Sony CD-R. Out of about 150 I've burned to play in the car, I've had maybe 2-3 defective discs. I use Windows Media with no problem either - other than the fact I learned the hard way to record at a slower speed.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
