Select(s => new { Text = s. SectionName, Value = s.SectionID.ToString() }), "Value", "Text"), "-- Please Select --") The issue seems to resolve around the SectionID being an integer. When you convert it to a string everything works fine.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
