It's deliberate regressive political strategy that ensures government necessity programs are constantly being weakened while simultaneously attacking these weakened programs as dangerous to fiscal priorities. Yet, wasteful programs that benefit wealthy corporate/individual interests are for a plethora of disingenuous distraction narratives, "bad for business" if any reasonable politician dares to cut them. Avarice-centric politicians rail against government necessity programs because as a comparison investment vehicle, they're not as attractive as investment/dividend creating objects because anything that manages to help those marginalized by the very corporate/business model that insists on overvaluing the relative worth of money manipulators initial money speculation over the undervalued constantly depressed value of production labor compensation, is not something they want to allow to go on without a profit-squeezing scheme becoming central to that government program.
This is the basis for privatizing social security, to make it mandatory that poor people/elderly are forced to work until they drop dead. Conservatives will only be happy when all government necessity programs are completely transferred "stolen" for the sole benefit of wall street so that all funds that assist the poor/disabled/elderly are zeroed out and only corporate welfare remains.
It is intentional. Reagan tried the supply side thing in 1980 and it put us into a recession. Then he abandoned it and found that Keynesian stimulus programs do work.
When you deficit spend, your pals get a lot of money, and then you can blame it on the next Democrat for failing to clean up the mess. It's intentional and is called 'starving the beast' which is a tactic they only use against democrats.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
