Cute or ugly..? taking a big risk :S (cartilage piercing)! experienced ppl help me?

Piercers generally pierce with a 14 gauge, in the US at least. The second picture you linked, the one you said you wanted something close to, looks to me to be a 14g. My advice to you is, go into the shop that you are going to to get your piercing at and check out the jewelry they have available before you ask to get pierced.

When you tell them what you want, also let them know that you would like "this jewelry" used for your piercing. Also, remember that when you're talking gauge, the bigger the number the smaller the jewelry. For example, 14 gauge is smaller than a 12 gauge.

The best place to find information on all things body mods is probably through BMEZINE. Here is some info on septum piercings, including healing time and care. http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Septum... And here is the link for BME's homepage.

You'll be able to find everything you need to know here. http://www.bmezine.com.

Most piercings have standard sizes they usually use, but you can always request differently. An 18g or 20g is usually used for earlobes. A 16g is usually used for helix piercings (ear cartilage) a 14g is usually used for navel piercings.

I think septum is one that is mainly preference though. I'd just go in (or call) and ask!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
