I used to be a poor sleeper in my early 60s but now I am sleeping much better. I think this is down to several things. No traffic noise now, no snoring from partner and total peace of mind.
Many things can contribute to poor sleep and we have to find what is causing our own problem and, if possible, deal with it. I didn't personally deal with mine but circumstances did that for me.
As a senior you need less sleep and have a lot more time on your hands. And even though you have that six hours within which you usually fall asleep you're up walking to the little room down the hall every hour on the hour so you walk around tired but can't sleep. Eventually it catches up with you and finally you can sleep maybe twelve hours peacefully.
When I was younger we all did a lot of exercise by playing sports or dancing or just walking in the stores but when you get older you can't do all that so it affects your sleep. I still dream though.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
