Might be a typo but not sure what you error is in the first place but for starters you are missing a close ) on all of the mysql_query calls and it would be $result = mysql_query(.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
