MySQL can't delete from a table that it is selecting from. That is why I made a subquery of the select with select * from () x.
First of all. After you get the table cleaned up, put an Alternate Key index on columns a and b, to ensure that more duplicate records are not added to the table... but, having said that, to delete the duplicates entered last you need to.
