The guy is classy, extremely smart, humble, wants to better America, and has a great family." You've answered your own question. He's not a freak, he's a threat.
Democrats don't hate Ryan. Really. They don't like his proposals.
And he comes across as a smart-alec, wet-behind-the-ears wonk. I'll agree he's smart, though as the saying goes "In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king." In other words, in comparison to other member of Congress, he's brilliant.
In comparison to other people though, he's perhaps just smart. I don't know about classy or humble. Again, it's a matter of comparison.
He's probably in the top 30% or so in Congress in those two categories. Great family? Now, that's irrelevant.
Obama, Biden, and Romney all appear to have great families. Besides, I vote for the candidates, not for their families. But, really, Democrats don't hate Paul Ryan.
(There are plenty of slimey, dishonest, crooked, and incompetent Republicans to hate . . .
Just as there are a fair number of Democrats for Republicans to despise.) And, while it doesn't look like it'll happen, Democrats really would like tough, fair discussions about the budget, spending, entitlement reform, etc. And Ryan is an articulate spokesman for the conservative position. Hope that helps.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
