Descriptor on method provides metadata but can't get the class the method is located in?

At the point a class member (function or class data member) is defined, it is not aware of the enclosing class. The way the class keyword works in Python is that the expressions within the body of the class statement are evaluated, packed into a dict and then passed to the metaclass (by default type ) as metaclass(classname, bases, members) . At the point they're evaluated (which includes applying decorators) there is no way to reference the class that they will eventually be added to.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
