Actually, you wouldn't have been able to find them anyway. Windows 8 doesn't come with any games by default. They have to be downloaded from the Store app.
Windows 8 is search centered. It carries over Vista and 7's search function for looking for programs, settings, control panels, and files. If you never used the start search before I highly recommend it.
In Windows Vista or 7 click the start orb or, better yet, tap the Windows logo key on your keyboard. Then type the name of the program, setting, control panel, or file you want and it'll appear in the start menu. It's the absolute fastest way to find anything on your computer.
No more clicking Start, All Programs, Accessories, Notepad. They've carried this features over to Windows 8 and it's even faster. When on the start screen all you have to do is start typing what you want and it'll appear.
It's just like a Google instant search. If you use that program often, just right click and pin it to start or to the taskbar. If you can't remember the name of the program then right click to bring up the app bar and click All apps or hit Win + Q.
It'll show a list just like all programs does. So there is a learning curve but once you get it down you'll be able to reach things just as fast or even faster than the start menu. Edit: I see.
Start is still in the lower left hand corner of the screen. Microsoft has this new thing called hot corners in Windows 8. If you point at the top right corner you get a back button, if you point in the lower left corner you get a start button, and if you point at the top right or bottom right you get the charms bar.
But again, this goes back to it sucking simply because you didn't know how to use it. If I sat you down in front of Windows XP computer if all you knew was MS DOS then you'd have the same problem with XP. You'd be asking where the command line is.
It would take some training but you'd get it eventually. The situation is really no different. I would also advise you to avoid installing Windows 8 on an old XP computer.
I doubt you'd find Windows 8 drivers for your hardware. At this point buying a new computer would be a better idea. - Dominic.
I think it's a failure for most practical computer-users. If Windows 7 was a step forward, Windows 8 is a step sideways. They are trying to focus on the portable, touch-screen market, but they arrived a little too late for Windows 8 to be really successful.
Also it's just not that good, unless you use a tablet as your main computer.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
