Elvis, the "King of Rock and Roll" died on August 16, 1977. Bing Crosby died on October 14 of the same year, as it happens, the day before my birthday which saddened me because I've always liked Bing Crosby, believe it or not! Both were unique singers who contributed much to the world of music in their own individual fields and both starred in numerous movies although Crosby's were much, much better than the schlock Elvis cranked out.
However, both made their first and major contribution in the musical field and it is as singers they are remembered, much more so than for their movies although Crosby made a number which are memorable and get shown constantly around this time of the year such as "Holiday Inn" (which introduced the song which is still the world's all-time best-selling record according to the RIAA, "White Christmas"), "The Bells of St. Mary's" and "Going My Way." Its sad that two giants of the music world died so close together - we were much richer for having both of ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
