Did Hernando de Soto die in a boat or in a forest or in his tent?

Hernando de Soto died of a fever, probably in his tent, on May 21, 1542 in what is now Oklahoma. Luis de Moscoso, sank de Soto's body in a river to keep his death a secret. He did not want the local people to find out that de Soto's claim to immortality was false.
