Arriving in the eerie calm before Hurricane Gustav hits, the passengers on the last commercial flight into New Orleans knew they would be among the last to evacuate the city. From the air, they saw scarcely any traffic on Interstate 10 out of the city and a convoy of seven New Orleans city buses heading with evacuees over the Bonnet Carre Spillway.
