Did I offend this Serbian guy by asking if he was Bulgarian?

I live in America we have people who move here all the time that can not speak of word of English. They depend on friends or family to help them. Often time only one member of the family can be the translator.

I would not recommend this. That one person cant be everywhere for everyone. So even simple things that you take for granted become difficult when you don't speak the language for you and the people you do business with.

Try to learn at least the basic's of the language of the country first.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
