Did Jesus defend people who were being condemned by religious hypocrites (Matthew 23)?

Jesus spoke out openly "Against" the hypocrites of his time especially those who were considered as Rabbi, or Pharisee, who would set themselves above the others teaching to do as I say, not as I do. They would preach the law of Moses but not live it themselves.

If you truly believe in God you would have to defend the people who believe that God is the God of everything. Could you refuse to defend someone that you knew was innocent because you was afraid maybe the accusers would turn against you? It seems to be a fairly common thing to do in these days but could you really live with yourself if you turned your back on the innocent party?

Jesus could not and would not!

I think in a way many people who are interested in human rights do this. I believe people have their own right to choose their own religion, and other types of things like sexual orientation, etc. But I do think some things people choose to be or do is wrong. What I defend though is their right to choose but if I think something is wrong or immoral though and that person asks me what I think of their lifestyle I will be completely honest if I don't agree with it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
