Did Mila Kunis and Macaulay Culkin split because of Kunis' blossoming success with "Black Swan"?

I don't think they split because of her new success, she was already more successfull and liked than Culkin. A source claims that they actually split up a few months ago, but kept it underwraps so that she could promote her new movie, Black Swan. This way, the movie would be seen for what it is and not get extra hype, or less hype because of her personal relationship that is completely unrelated to the movie.
