This election is nothing but BS. Nothing but up and down elections. Santorum wins Iowa.
(A nobody through August-December) Romney wins NH. Gingrich wins SC (lost both Iowa and NH, and all of a sudden wins SC after 2 debates). Ron Paul (Ignored by media time after time, given unfair questions and time during debates).
1) If you've been watching, almost every candidate has been Flavor-of-the-Month (FooM) at least once. (S)he will surge up in the polls, be subjected to greater scrutiny, and then fade out. Santorum was FooM just in time for the Iowa caucuses, where the social conservatives have enormous influence.
Romney was sort of the FooM after NH, but he's fumbled regarding questions about his wealth. 2) In Iowa, social conservatives have a strong religious bent, so they were turned off by Newt's being a lousy husband. NH is in Romney's backyard and not socially conservative, so Newt wouldn't win there.
I sense that SC social conservatives are that way for more secular reasons. 3) The biggest reason is convergence among social conservatives and anti-Romney voters. Bachmann and Perry have dropped out, meaning the social conservatives have fewer candidates to choose from.
Newt's current surge started when Perry dropped out and endorsed him. And if you want to stop Romney, Newt is the only opponent with a lot of name recognition. (The recent $5 million campaign donation may have helped, too.) The big question is, for how long will Newt be able to keep it up without self-destructing or Romney overwheming him?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
