He is desperately attempting to get reelected... but so far failing to achieve that goal. Even his most fanatically of followers are starting to see him as in dire straights.
I don't follow the flap over Benghazi much - because the Republicans who ARE following it are -- to use your phrase - "grasping at straws." Possibly Obama hid the details of the Benghazi tragedy from the American people for as long as TWO WHOLE WEEKS. Wow -- TWO whole weeks!
Possibly he didn't. So the man's foreign policy record isn't perfect. BUT how is Obama's foreign policy record compared to that of the last Republican president we had, the brilliant war hero George W.
Bush? Do you remember the Republicans cheering as Bush plunged the US into a disastrous war in Iraq, based on untruths about "weapons of mass destruction"? Do you remember how many WMDs George Bush actually FOUND in Iraq, after he'd invaded the place?
Do you remember how the last Republican president we elected, good old Clueless George, not only launched the Iraq war, but then bungled the waging of it? So that military journalist Thomas Ricks called his book on Bush's adventures in Iraq by the title "Fiasco"? Do you remember how 2,000 American military people, and who knows who many Iraqi civilians, died as the US military vainly tried to make Bush's plan a success?
Do you remember the gross overcharging of the US taxpayer by politically influential corporations during Bush's war -- corporations who benefitted from Bush & Co. Basically "privatizing" the war fighting? Do you remember Bush promising to "get bin Laden dead or alive" -- and then not doing it?
Obama's foreign policy -- some of which I hate, for leftwing reasons -- is about 3,000 times more successful than Bush's foreign policy. You know it, unless you're in total denial of realitly Romney has almost nothing to say here. He and the GOP are "grasping at straws" when they criticize Obama by bringing up the tragedy in Benghazi.
Whatever you think of Obama and whatever you think of Romney, Obama's record on foreign affairs is better than any other president's in the last 20 years. Deal with it, ok? "To tell the truth is revolutionary."

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
