Jay: No! Some of the tracks that we planned on recording didn't end up being recorded. Just before we got to the studio I had demoed some new tracks that ended up taking their place.
It sort of made the album more exciting to us. In a way I think the new tracks have made the album what it is. SG: What are you looking forward to most about playing the Sound City Festival?
Jay: We Never Played! SG: Do you think that playing at Sound City means more to you because you're from Liverpool? Jay: No, even if we did play.
I don't think where we're from makes any difference at all wherever we play. SG: Are there any other bands that you'd like to see at the festival? Jay: Mugstar were on, I would have loved to see them again, but we were on the road with the Nine Black Alps on the night they were playing.
SG: What other festivals do you have in the pipeline this year? Jay: We have Secret Garden Party lined up, I'm not too sure about any others. (Ed: V Festival now too) SG: You've done quite a ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
