Maureen: Yes, it was a pleasant surprise. It's slowly sinking in because I did not expect to be the winner. I expected to do well, but winning was a shock.
With time I shall get used to it. What made you join the Miss East Africa UK pageant? I got encouragement from my friends and I saw it as a way of increasing awareness of things close to my heart, like putting smiles on children's faces and contributing to their future by making sure that for example they get the education and love and the care that they need.
What did you win along with the Miss East Africa-UK title? A modelling contract, photo shoots, but above all I won an opportunity to be able to do good to the children. I really love children and I want to be looked upon as an ambassador for them.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
