I would always Never do more than 49.9% of a workout with explosive reps ONCE THEY ARE LEARNED AND PERFECTED. The KEY to working out is not getting injured, and feeling healthy and staying Consistently MODErate.
Strength training burns more fat and increases..strength. It builds muscle faster that helps to burn fat faster. Light weight training "poofs up" muscle but does not really increase strength as fast or as much.
