Do I need a business license just to sell on Zazzle since it is all online and I touch no products?

Usually you only need a business license if you're going to be doing something that affects the neighborhood or public health. If you're going to have a storefront or a smokestack or customer traffic, then the city gets concerned. If you're just going to do some busywork behind closed doors, most places do not care in the least.

Thats good. I will have to pay taxes though, so I'm wondering how to do that. Not that I want to, I just don't want to get in trouble.

I am not familiar with Zazzle however you will still have costs and hopefully revenues, if you don't register you won't be able to deduct costs from revenue when calculating your taxable income. Good Luck! .

Man, I never thought of that. The only thing is, most people don't see an income from a new Zazzle site until a year or so, and your cost deductions can only be made in the year purchased. Thanks for answering!

" This may not be true depending on how your business in legally incorporated and what form your costs were (cost of goods sold vs capital goods) ie. A computer or car can be depreciated over multiple years, but you'd probably need paid advice to be sure your investment would be deductible.

Some cities do require business licenses for home-based businesses. You should check with the city clerk's office. Also, even tho you do not "touch" products, you are a distributor.

There may be sales/use tax requirements (these pass on to the ultimate consumer).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
