Do I need a college education or my own website to be a freelance writer?

It does not require a college education to be a freelance writer but college classes like creative writing or journalism may be helpful in improving your skills. There are sites which use contracted freelance writers like Helium, Demand Studios, and Suite 101. These sites provide the website structure so the author is not required to.In fact, the pages on Mahalo are written by freelance guides.

If you write in multiple locations you may choose to have a blog or website to promote some of your work.

No you do not need a college education to be a freelance writer, being a freelance writer myself I work for sites like Freelance, Odesk, Elance, Vivatic these have plenty of jobs that you could do. I have my own website and the reason for this is to be able to show clients my work rather than sending copies to the site every time that I apply for jobs it just makes it so much easier there are plenty of sites but the one I use to set up a FREE website is Yolasite. Com this is very easy to do not complicated at all and you will then be able to promote your work to prospective clients.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
