No you do not need a college education to be a freelance writer, being a freelance writer myself I work for sites like Freelance, Odesk, Elance, Vivatic these have plenty of jobs that you could do. I have my own website and the reason for this is to be able to show clients my work rather than sending copies to the site every time that I apply for jobs it just makes it so much easier there are plenty of sites but the one I use to set up a FREE website is Yolasite.
