If you want to secure the Private Airman Certificate, so that you can fly for pleasure and personal transportation, it will cost you about $5,000 to $9,000 depending on where you are and the arrangements you can make. A private pilot can carry passengers and can add ratings for complex and multi-engine airplanes, but cannot be paid for piloting services. If you want to fly for money, you can become a general commercial pilot.
The basic requirement for the Commercial Airman Certificate is 250 hours total flight time. Virtually all commercial certificate holders also secure the instrument and multi-engine ratings, and most secure the instructor ratings. The commercial certificate with ratings will cost you $15,000 to $25,000 above the private certificate, which you must have first.
All of these certificates involve a written test and a flight check ride, which includes oral test questions. A considerable amount of aeronautical knowledge is required, and you have to be the kind of person who enjoys learning about science, math, and technical subjects. There is also a medical certification requirement, which begins when you apply as a student pilot and continues throughout your career.
With the Commercial Certificate, you can earn money for pilot services, and you can find a variety of interesting and rewarding jobs. You can fly cargo, charter, and instruction. You can tow banners and do pipeline/power line patrol.
You can be a bush pilot. You can have a lot of fun and make some money. You will not be qualified to apply to the airlines for a piloting job.
The airlines require a 4-year college degree, a first class medical certification, an Air Transport Pilot Certificate, and typically 2,000 hours or so of flight time. A lot of that can be paid time, but you should expect to spend a total of $50,000 to $80,000 before you sit in the flight deck of an airliner. You do not have to go through the military to be a commercial pilot or an airline pilot, though it has traditionally been a more sure route to the best jobs.
But you must have a 4-year college degree to apply to the airlines. Aircraft systems and flight procedures become more complex every year, and the airline hiring executives want to know that you have the study skills and the ability to learn quickly. So they won't even talk to a person nowadays without the college degree.
People will argue with me about that, but they are behind the times.
If you want to become a pilot you need to go to a AVIATION UNIVERSITY and you MUST have a 4 year degree to get into the major airlines. Firstly you will need to go to ground school and complete a bunch of tests and they will teach you stuff like ATC, VORS etc. Once you have completed ground school you can proceed to flying (you can do ground school any time BTW). YOu will start flying small aircraft trying to earn you private pilots license.
You will need 15 hours of solo time and 15 hours of dual instructor time. That adds up to 30 hours but to obtain a private pilots license you need 45 hours so those 15 hours can either be solo or instructor. After you have gotten your private pilots license you will be certified to fly fixed wing fixed gear single engine aircraft at 200hp or under.
Oce you have gotten your PPL you can start working on your ratings. Most airlines want you to have a Multi engine rating (allows you to fly aircraft with more than 1 engine) an Instrument rating (allows you to fly in bad or severe weather using your instruments. Really helpful for ILS landings) and a night rating.
You have your ppl so now you must get these ratings. Once you have your rating you start studying for your commercial pilots license. This is where you can start getting paid for your flights.
To get your CPL you must have 20 hours at minimum. Now that you have your CPL you can go work for a small unknown regional airline. When you start out you will be making roughly 20k a year.
After years of experiance you can get to a major airline and make arounf 120k a year and if you make it to a 777 or a 747 or an A380 maybe 200k a year. That is the process you need to become a pilot. After a certain amount of time you will be required to turn your CPL into an airline transport pilots license allowing you to become a captain.
Thats all the training. I know ive left a lot out but its the basics that you neeed you be aware of. Another thing you need to be aware of is your MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS.
There are 3 levels of medical examination. Class 1,2,and 3. Class 3 is used mainly for your private pilot license but when you are becomiong a commercial pilot you need class 1.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
