Thanks for the research and a BRILLIANT post of material many conservatives are aware of. The reminder is important for many, though. And, of course, the Party of racism objects.
A distant relative of my husband's served in the Lincoln Administration and was very close to the President. Those brave American patriots who served in Washington at the outset and for the duration of the Civil War were Republican and decidely conservative. It would also have been impossible during those trying years to miss the deeply felt Christian convictions of our nation's honorable 16th President, who remains among the most admired leaders this country has known.
He made a great first Republican President! It's amazing the level of denial liberals and leftists are willing to display to try to hide their shameful separatist, racist, and embarrassingly elitist roots, which were KKK to the core for nearly a century-and-a-half. Maybe seven score and ten years would be appropriate, given Lincoln's famous use of the biblical measure for emphasis at Gettysburg on the once deadly, but now transformed, pastoral battlegrounds in a neighboring County from where I grew up.
And they scream "fairness" and "tolerance" and become very violent toward anyone that has an opposing point of view! What a bunch of hypocrites!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
