I can't speak for him but the Bible I read does say he pulled the rib from Adam's side so the woman was to walk alongside of Adam not in front of or behind. So in my opinion that is saying that we are as equals as human beings.
1. Consider when the bible was compiled and written. It was during a time when women were considered Chattel rather than equals.
2. No. Read the story of Adam and Eve.
3. Monotheism happened when MAN grew jealous of the power women had, even in pagan beliefs, so they diminished the roles of the GODDESSES (as well as the women) and made the main god a male saying there was only one god. (see #1).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
