Good question and one that is not asked nearly enough - you get a star. Since reagan we have been told that if we tax large corporations less it will 'trickle down' to us all. But in that time we have gone from the world's number one exporter of finished goods (in 1980 - look it up) to a largely service oriented, debtor nation.
This is largely due to the fact that the corporations who have benefitted so much from the american economy and american consumer and lower tax burden (as a percentage of taxes collected) than ever - have paid us back by moving every decent job out of the nation and still whining about how broke they are and how they need even more tax breaks. Companies are of course free to go overseas and save money by being able to pollute (what it's really all about) but should not be able to benefit from any govt bailout money or govt contracts. Buy american first - the govt should buy american only.
Who is against this - republicans. Edit: wow, I say buy american first and I get thumbs down? Take a good look at this folks and know that the right wing wackos are becoming upfront about saying that 'america first' policies are a bad thing.
I say american first and if you don't like it, get ready to see you corporate masters driven out of business by americans who are waking up to the real power of where they use their money and where they DON'T.
Those companies are in business to make a profit. You think stopping tax breaks will bring the Jobs back? All that does is give them more of a reason to leave.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
