There are male birth control pills under research, but the only ones so far that have been effective have had extremely undesirable side effects. It's basic physiology...women have a finite number of eggs, and release them once a month with certain hormonal triggers so there are many options for preventing that, and there are many options for preventing sperm reaching the egg. However, the technology for chemical birth controls like this doesn't translate into viable options for men, because men produce sperm all the time by the millions and, short of finding ways to kill off all the sperm, make sure the man doesn't feel like releasing them, or removing the means of escape for the sperm, there's really nothing that can be done within our current scientific and medical expertise.
That said, if something were developed, it would obviously depend on the individual...just as with women, some men are very detail-oriented and trustworthy while others are not. However, perhaps if men also had to remember a pill every single day they would realize why many women really appreciate partner support in remembering birth control pills...it's all too easy to forget every now and then, and if it's made into something that both partners monitor then it will be much more reliable.
I don't think there are any in general use. There has been a lot of research, though. I think that research is useless and a waste of money.
You can't trust a lot of women to take their pills reliably. And you won't be able to trust a lot of men to take their pills reliably. If a woman does not want to get pregnant it is up to her to take the necessary precautions.
If a man does not want to be a father, SNIP. Birth control pills research for men -- fuggedaboudit. A misguided, useless waste of time and money.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
