Do writer's desk reflect the inner workings of their mind?

Thank you for your replies. Maybe our minds really do work that way. What do you think?

I agree with Leprirela ". Something about clutter that inspires the mind. " And like Healing Touch says "That is how I like it."

So, we are comfortable with it. Is there a sense of peacefulness?

I am not sure on this,Sometimes My desk is full of post-its, (reminders) pens , other stationary and always have a cup of something..Now this will sound strange , but when My desk looks busy that's when I work best :)when its all tidy I hardly have inspiration ...something about clutter that inspires the mind ... :))I'm in between ...But your mind alone knows best , of what you do or don't need :).

I hope not! I can't find a steady place to do my writing---Although I am pretty inconstant writer----hmmmmm.

Oh my, I hope not. My desk is usually way too cluttered. I have many things going at once, but that is how I like it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
