Do you believe in cremation or burial?

Neither makes any difference for me. I am an "ORGAN DONOR"whatever remains they can dispose of as they see fit. I won't need them anyway.

Tough question and tough to answer for many. Because I have done alot of research, I am going to be cremated.

Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust! That line represents and supports both burning and burial. Ashes to Ashes- this suggests that to be burned to ashes.

Dust to Dust- Suggests Burial where we are recycled back into the earth in which we came from. Gen 3:19 ) "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. " then you have priest that say this : "For as much as it hath pleased Almighty God of his great mercy to take unto himself the soul of our dear brother here departed, we therefore commit his body to the ground; earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust; in sure and certain hope of the Resurrection to eternal life, through our Lord Jesus Christ; who shall change our vile body, that it may be like unto his glorious body, according to the mighty working, whereby he is able to subdue all things to himself."I really don't care how I am disposed of for my body will be nothing but a shell of what I once was.

So burn me, cast me over the ocean, bury my or even chop me up and feed me to the dogs, but in the end no mater how its is done my body will once again become part of the earth therefor "Dust to Dust.

I beleave it is a deshion that needs to be made long before you pass each pearson is free to decide for themselves what they want to do me myslef im an organ donnar I want to be creamated.

Wow thanks for asking this question I've been wanting to share my life experience about this somewhere. So first my background. I come from basically a traditional christian upbringing in which there seems to be this strange unspoken and totally unconfirmed belief that you will somehow need your body after death.

But yet in the same belief we get the words ashes to ashes and dust to dust. And most of us know by now what happens to a human body after death and a few months of decay. So on to more of a personal view.By the age of twelve I lost within give or take five years an aunt, a cousin, two grandmothers and last my dad (all of whose except one's open casket showings I was dragged to).

And even had some of these in photos in the family album. This also continued later losing my grandfather and the remaining three uncles, leaving none on my fathers side. Needless to say to me these images were pretty tramatic looking back on it.

Now to the contrary I recently lossed my second wifes loving grandmother. Who I had become very dear too in a short period and who was cremated. We had a gathering to celebrate her life with pictures of her as such.

Her family shared stories and memories of her as alive. And while her ashes were there in an urn. I found myself thinking as I looked around at the young children there Wow!

How less tramatic this is for them. So besides this theres the other factors of pumping toxins into the body. Those same toxins which in my state require a concrete vault in addition to the casket( hence higher cost's).

And the mere fact of less cost with cremation. Well all I'm left with saying is burn baby burn!

There is a great question you came up and it made me think about life.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
