Do you believe in premonition? What do you do if you dream of someone you haven't heard or think of in a long time?

In my opinion, it depends on your personal faith as far as fate and destiny go. If you dream about someone you have not heard from in a while, it means that somewhere in you subconscious you actually are thinking of them. A believer in fate may say that this dream is telling you to go talk to this person because you may find that you are now able to build a new kind of relationship you couldn't have before. It has been said that in dreams, if someone you loves dies, they will in actuality live longer.

This is all purely superstition but food for thought nonetheless. I do believe in premonition through dreams, but I think that they should be more deeply analyzed to discover what they really mean before jumping to conclusions. However, in reality it is most likely that you brain is trying to tell you something.

Because we dream several times a night but do not remember them all, it is significant that you remembered this one and perhaps you should look into contacting this person, even if its just to say hello.

I do believe in premonitions. I have had occurances in my life that support the theory of premonitions. I had a dream about a man, a very handsome man that I didn't know.

I woke up that day wondering and wishing. In my dreams we kissed and held each other,I felt so fullfilled. I had never seen this man before.

For weeks, I wondered who this man was. I told all my friends about my dream...this really was the man of my dreams. I have always been attracted to men with a certain look and style.

The man in my dream was the total opposite. Months passed and I didn't think much of it. One day, one of my friends and I were at a sporting event.

We were up at the bar, refreshing our cocktails and when I went to pay the bartender, he said, "that man over there paid for them". OMG! It was the man that I had dreamed about.

He bought me a drink. I went over and thanked him. We introduced ourselves, we talked, he had an accent just like the man in my dream.

We became great friends and lovers and even though he lives and works in another state, after 6 years we are still great friends and he remains the REAL man of my dreams. That is a wonderful premonition, when something bad happens in my dreams, I call them nightmares.

I do. I've had to many dreams become reality to not believe. However not all dreams for anyone are premonitions.

That can be an unsettling feeling if you have a lot of bad and realistic dreams because you're left wondering which are and which are not the real deal. In my opinion your mind has either provided you with a warning in your example or an excellent reason to contact and old friend. No harm in reconnection.

Well I wouldn't believe it is a premonition but I would believe that my brain is trying to tell me something. Perhaps I miss that person. Perhaps that person represents an aspect of my life in the past and the danger is a feeling of loss.

I would try to figure that out for myself. It is pretty likely that as I think more about that person I will wonder how they are doing and what they are up to so it is fairly likely I would contact them.

No. My ability to worry, dream or remember someone has no effect whatsoever on actual events. For all the times coincidence has played an emotional role in our experiences over it, we neglect to document or even notice all the times that there was no coincidence documenting the lack of importance my "premonition" gave it.

However, being emotional beings that like to count and line things up so they make sense to us as individuals it's not surprising that when bored our minds do their job. We line up numbers on New Years Eve at midnight and feel special about it. We watched 1999 come and go without the end of the world.

Same in 2012. Being in sync with someone emotionally (as in the case of some twins or couples - but not all), thinking and feeling things at the same time is not unheard of and there've been studies on the subject. Using the definition of premonition too much can lessen the meaning of the word.

What's important is if you feel you should do something feel free to act on it. I've been contacted many times by people who had premonitions about me but not a single one of them was relevant. So if premonitions were actually what we imagine them to be it would happen more often and be more reliable in my opinion.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
