Do you believe in Psychics, ghosts, angels, demons, and the paranormal?

Paranormal is a general term (coined circa 1915–192012) that designates experiences that lie outside "the range of normal experience or scientific explanation",3 or which indicates phenomena understood to be outside of science's current ability to explain or measure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paranormal You asked: How come angels and demons, which cannot be scientifically proven, are given as valid reasons? Has the presence of ghosts been scientifically proven?

You imply that one entity is more valid than another. Why are ghosts any more valid than angels or demons? To say that one is more likely or scientifically believable is opinion, since none of these entities have been proven to exist beyond a shadow of a doubt.

There is no "substantial" amount of scientific proof regarding the paranormal and that has to be established before one can determine what is causing the activity. Assuming that it's ghosts and not angels or demons is not scientific. Angels and demons are not only a Christian concept, they have been around in different religions and cultures since the earliest spiritual texts were found.

Christianity is a fairly young religion. I don't understand why people feel that they can subtract spirituality from paranormal phenomena. The very concepts of life after death, the existence of a soul, ghosts etc. are spiritual in nature and although skeptics who believe that the paranormal exists but have not yet found the scientific explanation would rule out all of these concepts, the believers in the paranormal typically don't.

They normally have some kind of belief in life after death.

The paranormal in general hasn't even been proven to exist. Ghosts aren't anymore proven to exist than angels or demons are, so your question doesn't even make sense. That being said... I think the spiritual and the paranormal coincide with each other very closely.

What is spiritual is a completely different concept than religion.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
