If I eat sugary stuff, I make sure to brush before bed so the remaining sugar doesn't set on my teeth all night. I usually brush twice a day, and I think my family members do too. I'm not sure that is overboard.
Considering I hate going to the dentist for anything other than cleaning--I would brush more often if needed to avoid it.
YES! I SURE DO...I think you should clean it out as soon as you are done because it keeps away plaques!
I brush my teeth in the morning before breakfast and at night just before going to bed. If I have any sweets in between I wash my mouth with clean water.
No I do not. I normally just have some sugar free gum. I'm sure I've read somewhere that you're supposed to brush your teeth one hour after eating chocolate and sweets as doing so before can actually cause further damage.
Anyone else heard that? Anyhow, I have some sugar free gum and rinse my mouth out with water.
I think it's very difficult especially when someone eats sweets at work or any where out of home. But this is not the right thing as the dentist said. Sugar in ones food allows the bacteria to thrive in the mouth and this in turn causes the enamel and dentine to be attacked and this might cause gum disease too.So this is a good question because it remind me that I should brush my teeth after eating any food contains sugar to avoid losing my teeth:) thanks for this question.
I brush twice. Once in the morning and the other is before retiring to bed. I do believe that should be sufficient to keep my teeth healthy and clean.
Sweets and chocolate.... these favors the growth of bacteria that resides over the tongue. These bacterias, in 90% cases, are the cause of bad breath, build plaque that turn into tartar. If care not taken, gingivitis occurs and if left untreated then leads to periodontal disease. So it's better to brush immediately after eating sweets and chocolate and I do that.
Otherwise need for brushing teeth may be forgotten. As it's difficult to always brush teeth following intake of sweet and chocolate, at least I rinse my mouth vigorously. And also I try to avoid such food whenever possible.

It is difficult brushing teeth when not at home and I was thinking of carrying a toothbrush with me - some people do that and brush their teeth at lunch time. Yes extremely helpful comments, thanks!
You should brush two times a day only sometimes, other days you should brush only once because it may loose your teeth's flourine and make it less white.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
