No, I limit myself to tasks I have a chance of accomplishing. And avoiding a specific kind of plastic is to complicated to manage. Besides, I grew up in an east L.A.County suburb in the sixties, so if I'm going to get cancer, it'll be from that before anything else..
1 I think that buying bottled water (most of which is actually purified tap water) is foolish. Put a Brita water filter on your kitchen sink faucet. This user has been banned from Askville.

2 I don't buy bottled water, a silly affectation and wasteful on so many levels. I have several stainless steel bottles/thermos for carrying my safe and certified city water on outings. Forget the plastic, worry about where that H2O came from and stop wasting $.

3 Here's an article from the National Institute of Health website about BPA in water bottles:newsinhealth.nih.gov/2008/November/featu... article notes that there are currently NO studies showing a clear link from BPA to cancer, diabetes, or any other diseases in humans. There is some concern, and they are looking into it further, but as of now it is more of a wait and see. This user has been banned from Askville.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
