Thank you, Wesman. You've brought up a lot of good points because after listing all of my Hubs under all the related subjects, it only reminded me that I need to go grocery shopping. Lists, lists, lists.
Staring at me in blue and not taking me anywhere. Usually, if I want something, I go after it whether it is there for me or not. Easy or not.
This process of linking has been driving me crazy, but I do have a selection of craziness I can choose from. Thank you for your insights, you Handsome Man from Texas. I am always on the lookout for those Texas travel articles of yours.
Among other things. Thanks!
My advice is don't use it at all. I used to go crazy with that thing linking to everyone's hubs, or my own hubs. I think all of those blue links in my text is hideously ugly now, and slowly I'm getting rid of all of them.
I haven't used it at all (the link tool) in months and months. - my thoughts are that those links are distracting to the reader, and if they click on one of them and leave your hub - they probably won't come back to it and finish reading it, and that de values the page in the eyes of the search engines - the more time someone spends on any web page, the more search engines will "like" that page and rank it higher.
I mean, you can use that link tool if you want, but I'd advise people to only use it sparingly. I'm not going to use it at all.
The best place to check for any information about or on Hubpages would be to visit the Learning Center. The link is at the bottom of every page.
Thanks for asking the question Arlene. I too am going crazy trying to find the value of correctly linking my hubs and what to include in my hubs.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
