Do you have questions about how the announced merger between Continental Airlines and United Airlines may effect your travel plans?

In my experience, such mergers rarely affect passengers. The merged airline is sure to honor any previously booked flights (though they may move things around a bit if they have competing flights at similar times from and to the same airports). They're also likely to honor the existing balances of frequent flier miles.

The one drawback is that there may be fewer alternatives going forward for flights where previously United and Continental may have competed. However, there are many other airlines so in most markets, and certainly in all major markets, this should not be a real issue. Personally I have nothing against either United or Continental, so I'm just as likely to fly on the merged airline as I would have been on either one separately.

I just received an e-mail about the merger from my frequent flier plan at Continental. I'm flying Continental later this month, and was planning other travel on United. So, I have questions.

Here is a link to their page for anticipated customers' FAQ's: http://www.unitedcontinentalmerger.com/frequently-asked-questions Bottom line seems to be that it won't effect much if and until the merger is approved later this year. But, interesting nonetheless. Will you be more or less likely to travel on the merged airline as you have been on the currently-separate airlines?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
