I think most major religions basically believe in the same God... they just understand Him differently. Same with me. I wouldn't call what I have a religion, but I do have certain beliefs about God that seem to make sense to me.
I have rejected ALL mainstream religious systems. I no longer see God in the prepackaged boxes they present Him in. I don't consider mine to be a version of God, but rather, I have my own understanding of God.
My understanding of God includes things like: - I don't have to shove Him down your throat. - He won't kill you or torture you for eternity if you disagree with me. - I don't beg Him to fix things for me because I think He would rather I figure it out for myself.
- I don't need His forgiveness because He's the one who set me on this course to begin with. - Arriving at new and different understandings of Him is okay... and without negative consequences. - He's cool and doesn't mind if people masturbate.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
