I watch foreign films, but I wouldn't assume a movie was good or bad simply because it was foreign. I watch Hollywood movies too, but the same goes for them. Overall I do find I tend to like foreign films more as many Hollywood flicks just have no story line, but I've seen Hollywood movies I liked.
I watch foreign movies as long as they speak in English as I won't sit and read the whole movie from the bottom of the screen.
I'm not a big movie fan at all, so if I watch a movie, it has to be in English, and I prefer American Movies. I think I've seen one foreign film and to be honest, I don't even remember what that was.
I like foreign films. Two of my favorites are Life is Beautiful (1997) and Mongol (2007). Life is Beautiful is a French Film about the holocaust and the Mongol is about Ghenhis Kang written by a Russian.
Great movies, check them out!
In the first place, it has to be a really good movie for me to even watch a movie at all. I can get bored pretty quick. I have a short attention span.So it would definitely have to be in English for me to watch it at all.
I would not way watch a movie in another language. :-).
They have to realize that a juiceless, washed out character like Jennifer Aniston’s Justine Last in The Good Girl presents no feature of interest. People like her exist? When I was reading scripts for a Hollywood agent, every bad writer played the same card: “It’s a true story.”
Nothing matters less. True stories have no third acts.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
