Presents.......... In my house we are allowed to open one on Christmas Eve. We go to church and then go to my house to watch the Christmas Eve Parade, we have dinner and then before we split up to go visiting each of my neices are allowed to open one gift. Sometimes it's Christmas PJ's.

Friends visit my house and we open those gifts with them right then. We visit friends and when we come home my daughter is allowed to open her one gift that she picked out from under the tree. My boyfriend and I exchange one gift.

The rest are left till the morning. Starting with stockings, then my mother and brother come over and we do those gifts-then we go to my other brothers for dinner and after we open the gift we brought up there. Seven children, 8 adults opening gifts......so much money!

Christmas day! We open one package on Christmas eve each. It is a pair of pajamas.

We are then expected to put them on and wear them that night. We open everything else on Christmas day.

Both Having two sides to the family, on Christmas Eve we get together with my husbands brother, wife and kids, to whom we are particularly close too, and open our personal gifts to each other (husband and 2 kids), and gifts our kids and their kids give to each other. Then, on Christmas day we have had a very long standing tradition of getting together with my side of the family (mom & dad and 2 brothers and their families) and as slowly as possible, to make the excitement last as long as possible, we open gifts with my family. We celebrate the eve Our family always celebrated the eve... we opened gifts... ate and were merry on the eve. During the night Santa left unwrapped and set up gifts for the young ones. I thought eveyone in the world did it this way until I got out a bit more.... Why you would want to try to celebrate in the morning... half asleep... I will never know.

Our family tradition has always been to open gifts on Christmas Eve. Things are a bit complicated now however. My wife and I each open one gift on Christmas Eve here at home before we go to my mom’s for our Christmas dinner.

After dinner we open gifts up there. Our son is divorced though and a lot of the rest of the gift opening depends on when he has our grandson. If he has him on Christmas Eve we go up there and open gifts before Midnight Mass, If not, then we open gifts there on Christmas Day.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
