Agreed. I've noticed most of the people that say otherwise are just casualties that assume popularity overrules quality. But if you really break it down to their albums.
Who was more versatile? Who has depth in lyrically? And etc. It's hands down Janet.
Also performance wise. Janet always bring something new. EDIT- What does getting out from her brother's shadow have to do with who's better?
Nothing. Janet was trying to separate herself from her family's legacy. Not just MJ's.
What does idolizing her brother have to do with who's better? Nothing. MJ was inspired by Janet's work as well.
Dangerous is basically Rhythm Nation pt 2. He actually wanted Jam & Lewis to work with him after RN1814 blew up. But they declined.
MJ reached his artistic peak with Jam & Lewis and Janet with "Scream". Bboy- You can't be serious. Janet wrote and produced "Black Cat" which reached #1 on the Rock charts.
Making her the only artist in history to have #1's on every chart except for the Country chart. Janet wrote and co-produced all of her hits. Go watch some videos of her Rock wit U tour and she was 42 years old but STILL out danced her back up dancers who are half her age.
MJ at 50 was struggling from what I saw on This is It. Sorry, but that's the truth. EDIT- At 42 MJ was performing poorly.
Just watch his 30th anniversary performance from Madison Square Garden. That was horrible compared to his Bad tour performances. Janet at 42 easily trumps MJ at 42.
He lacked coordination and his lips weren't moving with the words to the song. He was even lip syncing badly. Invincible is also one of his worst albums.
This is It was sad to see. Even if he was high off drugs it was still awful. EDIT- Because he passed away.
That's the only reason why people are saying it was good. Even the people I talk to that used to call him a pedophile (before his death) started talking about how good he was. Everyone is so hypocritical!
I guarantee if those rehearsals leaked before he died. People would be bashing him left and right even the concert attenders. "Whispering" Janet easily trumps Repetitive/Self-hating MJ :-) She's an amazing performer still can't say the same about MJ.
Disagree. All of Janet's best songs are written by other people and she isnt as charismatic as her queer of a brother was. He was clearly the better musician and entertainer.
Lets see how Janet performs at 50. F you n k. : that's 8 years difference, buddy.
MJ performed well when he was 42 too. For a 50 year old who was taking a bunch of drugs, MJ was doing pretty well. Didn't look like he was struggling to me.
The only people who believe janet is better than her brother are big janet fans who think she's the best musician in existence. And I have watched the Rock Wit U tour before, thanks. Lmao, you're an idiot.
Even people who don't like MJ said he was great in This Is It. Do you also forget that it was only rehearsals? MJ at 50 was just as good as whispering Janet at 42.
Like I said though, lets see how she sounds and performs at 50. She's already declining as a performer.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
