I prefer boxing, but heavyweight matches tend to be a bit slow. When you can stop a freight train with a punch, you tend to stay on the defensive and conserve your strength, meaning it's not very entertaining. The bantam and midweight bouts are fun, though.
MMA is an aquired taste because there's so many forms of attack they ban, meaning an MMA fighter's options are still much more limited than you get in a typical fistfight.
I think MMA is getting a little overdone. When it first started it was the greatest because there weren't any rules or weight classes. That was exciting to watch.
Now they made it easier and safer. They made rounds and weeks, even months and months before a fight so people can prepare. I think a fighter with a MMA background should be able to fight without URL1 makes it more exciting instead of preparing for all that time and talking smack about the other guy.
It seems like they took the Ultimate Fighting Championship in it's greatest time and turned it into boxing with takedowns and kicks. It needs to go back to it's roots and leave the rounds and preparation for boxing. Boxing is great.
By eliminating all the other options you'd take in a normal fight it becomes something that requires great skill and timing. I really enjoy both.
I prefer Boxing and not just the fights themselves but the whole atmosphere when I go to watch a match. MMA is becoming increasingly more popular now though. Most boxing gyms around my way have started doing more martial arts and cage fighting is becoming huge.
To: Juice 76From Wikipedia; Sport - A sport is an organized, competitive, entertaining, and skillful activity requiring commitment, strategy, and fair play, in which a winner can be defined by objective means. I thought that your simplistic defifintion of "needing a ball" required a better definition. I do think that Archery and Curling, Track, Boxing, and MMA are all sports.
I only thought that with the popularity of MMA that it should have made the list of categories.
MMA is fun to watch when they not groping each other on the ground for 10 minutes, Boxing for the win!
The definition of sport is a game played with a ball which eliminates boxing, mma, archery, curling, swimming, track, and body building. Now that I am done ruining the question before answering it by nerding it up I prefer MMA. I watch it as often as I can no matter if it is UFC or Strikeforce I will watch it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
