No. It is impossible to "keep peace" when there has not been real peace there since the beginning of recorded history. I do think he will be less of a magnet for hatred than our former President.
I do think he will be able to get countries talking to one another is a way that will make things less difficult, but I do not think he or anyone else can stop the fighting and dying. Maybe one day when the people who live in the desserts and mountains are connected to the rest of the world and discover we are not beheading one another or killing our own daughters for "honor", they may see a better way, until then no one can help them.
