Do you think Berkeley's idealistic metaphysics is supported or threatened by contemporary views of natural science?

I think it's definitely threatened by all human experience including the natural sciences. Most natural scientists have moved to exactly the opposite epistemic position; i.e. Materialism.

While I disagree with both idealism and materialism and I hold that the truth lies somewhere in the middle (that is to say both ideas and matter exist) I don't think anyone could rightly claim that modern science provides much support for Berkeley. More.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
