Yes, I do think Buzz was launched without sufficient testing - but I'm also not sure HOW you'd test it. The problems that people have with Buzz have been 'critical mass' issues - issue that can only be discovered when you have millions (not just 20,000) of users. Mashable has over 21,000 followers!
Even with the Trusted Tester program, it would be unlikely to pick up the problems that Buzz has had, I think. But every bit would have helped. I think Buzz was rushed a little bit in it's implementation (Facebook working on a rival advertising business and email system prompted it, I'm sure) but the important thing is how quickly issues have been looked at by Google.
The comments, which used to take up the whole page, are now automatically collapsed unless you click "expand". It still, however, has a lot of improving to go.
As a former system and website tester, I can attest to the fact that whenever a new application or software is released, there will almolst always be bugs and issued that were missed. It is impossible for the testers to find every single little issue. Some bugs or issues only present themselves when there are many users, some stay "hidden" until after the release.
I would venture to say that this is the case in 99% of new releases.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
