Do you think it’s OK for political adversaries to congregate socially?

Either way, that is an absolutely awesome graphic! To answer your question, though: It seems like folks who are as far apart ideologically as Sarah and Barack would have a bit of difficulty finding a whole lot of common ground socially. Democrats and RINOs do it all the time--but then, they're not really adversaries, anyway.

The REAL question, when you look at the photo, is: How much steam is coming out of the ears of Michelle Obama and Todd Palin?

As adults, don't we teach our children that there is a diversity of viewpoints that people are going to express, and while you may disagree with some of them, it doesn't mean you can't be civil and even friendly with the people expressing them. Bipartanship doesn't mean that only one opinion is being expressed or tolerated; "bi" means "2." It means that people with two opposing points of view should be able to work together to achieve a common goal.

P.S. That photo is fabulous!

I will answer the question this way: If I were a politician, I would not socialize with my political "adversaries". In my opinion, legislatures at all levels -- spanning local ones to the U.S. Congress -- are supposed to be deeply divided. Democrats are supposed to dislike Republicans and vice versa.

Constant bipartisanship, in my opinion, is in the same league as a one-party dictatorship. In fact, I believe that one of primary reasons why our taxes keep going up, the national debt keeps right on increasing, and the U.S.Is bogged down in a seemingly endless war is the guys and gals in Washington are seeing eye-to-eye on too many things.

That is the best Photoshop of the week! I can't stop staring at it.

There are social occasions where political adversaries do converge, particularly if they consider it as a civic duty to be in attendance. It is part and parcel of any political landscape. Politics makes strange bedfellows indeed!

Fascinating pic.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
