Way too much stigma! She is still a lightening rod and her public opposition to the Iraq war will set this anti-war movement back a great deal. Irregardless of my feelings about either war the Vietnam antis went way too far especially when it came to the way our returning troops were treated.

One of the very foundations of our system of government is civilian control of the military and these brave soldiers were doing their duty in the best way that they could under very trying circumstances and they deserved better. Thankfully America learned it? S lesson from that war and only the most extreme anti-war protesters have had anything bad to say about our troops in this war.

Most of us who oppose this war, and I have opposed it from the very beginning, are still very supportive of our troops. For example, I just sent an order of books to a Marine in Iraq yesterday because I found out that he wanted them. Our troops are following orders from their civilian superiors and that is what they are supposed to do even when their superiors aren?

T think that Jane Fonda will take the anti-troop stance that she took the last time because she seems to have realized her error there but her mere presence will cause old wounds to fester and she could have done the anti-war movement a great service by just keeping her mouth shut.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
