Do you think Johnny Depp would play a good Elvis on the big screen?

I don't think Johnny Depp would suit the role as Elvis at all, although I do like Johnny, he's just not right for the part in my opinion :).

It is said that only excellent musicians can deliberately play out of tune, so it would probably be a good choice to use an excellent actor like Depp to play the role of the poor singer, poor entertainer, and even worse actor that Elvis Presley was.

I don't know, but Hollywood can make anyone look like someone. He def has the hair they would just need to cut it, and sideburns and the eyes to pull it off, He would probably wear contacts. Now if I were casting for that roll I would pick the following.....1.

I on the other hand "am in love" with Johnny Depp. But I have to agree with To start again. There are only a handful of movies I can watch with him in them and Elvis is definitely one of those I fear will collect dust.

I'm probably one of the few women (and men for that matter) who isn't in love with Johnny Depp. I don't really care much for his acting skills and don't think I have ever heard him sing so I would have to say...No. I don't think he would do the king justice though I;m sure plenty would disagree :).

I think he would do ok, but not great. He is better at playing more quirky characters.

I have not seen all of Johnny Depp movies, but the ones I have seen, I like him best when he does comedy. So, if he is to play Elvis, then let him play Elvis rocking-out as the first astronaut on the moon taking one giant leap for fun and laughs.

Personally, Johnny Depp is the best actor these days and he can definitely pull off a "King of Rock" act.

I am sure Johny Depp could do it. He is a good actor and has been able to do a large range of charactors so I am sure he could get into the attitude for it. As for his looks though.... well he does not look anything near the part and would need alot of time under the make up chair to pull it off.... even then I am not fully sure he would still look the part.

Who knows, he's probably play this role someday if his character appropriate with Elvis.

I'm sorry but no. Johnny Depp is an amazing actor, but is skill leans more towards the crazy type than any other. He wouldn't even be able to look the part unless it was cgi.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
