Absolutely. Abbreviations have already amputated some of English words. The constant confusion between "their" and "there", "your" and "you're", alteration of original meanings due to poor knowledge or vocabulary are all signs of our time.
Primitive speech we are reduced to in our sms- and pop culture is to blame.
Yes! Everything is abbreviated so much that some people just have NO idea how words are actually spelled anymore.
If they are it hasn't altered the way that I write. My GRANDMA hasn't changed because of it. LOL.

I think mankind is destroying the English language.
Social media and technology are but means to convey a message. People are still responsible for writing the mesage and thus misspelling the message as well.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
